Initially, they were selling dried fish and grocery products, later on, they started working in the insurance and retail business. In 1980 they started making electronic products, and since 1990 they have started producing semiconductors and mobile phones. Samsung also starts making LCDs for Sony and other big names. Even Apple uses LCD for its smartphones made by Samsung.
Although Samsung was producing feature phones, it was in 2008 that they launched the Samsung Galaxy series which became so popular that it made Samsung one of the biggest companies in the world. It’s the Samsung Galaxy S phones that compete with the iPhone in market share. As per 2023 data Samsung Galaxy A14 model was the most-sold phone of Samsung in 2023 with a price tag of just $199.
Operating System:
The main difference between iPhone and Samsung phones is the operating system, iPhone uses iOS and Samsung uses the Android operating system. Although Huwaie is getting some buzz with its own operating system but still has 99% mobile phones or use these two systems.
iOS:
The operating system used in iPhones, iPads, and iPods is specially designed by Apple for its products. It is more sophisticated, more secure, fast, and reliable as compared to other systems. It has features like i-messages, Siri, health and fitness, and many more which give freedom to share and receive data from Apple devices with ease.
Android:
It is an open-source operating system that allows innovation. It is more user-friendly, customizable, easy to navigate, easy to share data, and diverse. In comparison to iOS, Andriod is more innovative and an industry leader in offering new features. Android offered a fast charging feature a few years ago in its mobile phones which Apple has not offered so far. Andriod used an edge-to-edge screen first and then Apple copied it.
